Before You Leave for the Airport
Check the status of your flight. Our flight search offers real-time flight information provided by the airlines. Or call your airline to make sure your flight is on time.
The airlines advise travelers to be in the lobby 90 minutes prior to departure if they’re checking bags for a domestic flight, and two hours early to check bags for an international flight.
Check-in online in advance, if your airline offers the service and plan to check bags at curbside to avoid ticket counter lines. Minimize carry-on items by checking as much luggage as possible.
Plan ahead for sufficient time to find a place to park and get through ticketing and security.
Consider using alternate transportation to get to the aiport or have someone drop you off.
Do not wrap holiday gifts and put them in your checked bags. Luggage may be inspected at any point in the screening process. Toy weapons will be confiscated.
