Your hosting provider needs to be there for you 24/7 and give you instant access to the technicians you need to solve your problem. A good test is to call them in the middle of the night to see if you can get to a live, level 3 support tech. Web Host companies may say they have live, 24/7 support, but "live" means different things to different companies. If the Web Host company can't provide a support technician over the phone for you to speak with when you call support, take a pass on that company.
